We finally came to terms with the fact that we were just fresh University Graduates in a nation with troubled economy.

We set out to make honest living this time around.

We submitted CVs several times, both online and physically, hoping for luck but none came.

We started looking for work in hotels, restaurants and bars but it seemed like none of them had any vacancy.

We didn’t know that there was something called work agents.

Individuals who you pay 1,000 to give you contacts of organizations that have vacancies.

So, when you get the job, you will have to either pay them half of your salary for the first month or 10% of your salary for 6 months.

Due to this, the organizations will say that they don’t have any vacancy. They only listen to those who came from the Agents.

We patronized one of the Agents and we were surprised to find out that it’s the same hotels and bars that told us no vacancy, that the Agent gave us their numbers.

Nawa for this country ooohhh. Everything is systematically planned to extort money from people. Though, as people who have made many to lose their hard earned millions, we didn’t have any right to complain.

We settled for one organisation and were ready to face the life of being workers in Nigeria, where minimum wage can’t afford minimum food.
